What Causes Anemia?
There are a variety of different types of anemia and each specific type has its own set of common causes that are responsible for causing a large number of individuals to end up suffering from this frustrating condition. In Microcytic anemia there are several different factors that can contribute to being the cause of this specific type and they would include the lack of receiving the proper amounts of iron that your body needs to maintain good health and this is also the most common reason why a person ends up being anemic, sideroblastic anemia, which is a form that can either be acquired or congenital, thalassemia, chronic diseases, pyridoxine deficiency, and in rare cases lead poisoning. Macrocytic anemia is generally caused by cell division that is restricted of cells known as progenitor cells. Normocytic anemia can be a condition that is either congenital, meaning it was inherited, or you can also acquire this condition by an acquired disease or infection. Congenital forms are generally caused when there is a breakup of the red blood cells that is caused by such diseases as the well-known disease called Sickle cell. In the acquired form one of the more common causes is when a person suffers from having a disease that is long-term. A variety of diseases that are common for causing this condition would include cancer, kidney disease, thyroiditis, and rheumatoid arthritis. Although it happens very rarely, there are some medications that have been known to cause this type as well.
